After failing in his attempt to take over Mexico, William Walker toured the American south, garnering support for his next big filibustering expedition. From 1854 to 1860 Walker made repeated attempts, of varying success, to expand America's slave empire into Central America by seizing control of the war-torn nation of Nicaragua.
This week on "TENN in 20: Official Podcast of the Battle of Franklin Trust," join hosts and historical enthusiasts Brad and Sarah as they discuss the William Walker's life, death, and impact on American politics in the years leading up to the Civil War.
